10W-50 AmsOil , New product. Amsoil now makes a 10W-50 which meets all the requirements for KTM. I have been running both the 10W-40 and the 20W-50 Amsoil for years and have never had any problems. Be sure to purchase the motorcycle oil as it is different from the automotive oil as it is designed to work with a wet clutch.
Gflo. When you get the new one, be sure to torque to spec. Before removal, tap it lightly with a hammer to break any tension. Makes removal easier. KTM put this tip in the manual for their RFS engines.

I change my engine oil every 500 miles, but during a 2k dualsport loop I had to push that to 700, and the oil still looked descent. I use Thumper full synthetic. My tranny oil i used to change with every engine oil change, but it came out looking brand new everytime. So now its every other one. So roughly 1000 miles and it comes out looking good.
